In the third race of the Audi Centre Sydney Blue Water Pointscore, J/99 'Jupiter' claimed 2nd in Division 2; 2nd in Double Handed on IRC handicap. The 2024 Tollgate Islands Race was one that offered a range of conditions and a great hit out and test for crews looking ahead to the Rolex Sydney Hobart. Double Handed IRC was taken out by Blue Planet with Jupiter & Rum Rebellion rounding out the placings. All three boats are the highly sought-after J/99 class yachts. The battle between the Division 2 boats had been tense to the last minute and exciting to follow. Ultimately, the double-handed entry Blue Planet triumphed, finishing 5th overall, ahead of Jupiter (DH), Supernova, Mondo, Calibre 12 and Rum Rebellion (DH). Both Jupiter & Mondo hail from the Manly Yacht Club in Sydney. Jupiter is also a member of the CYCA.
Comanche topped PHS with Blue Planet (DH), Mondo, Supernova and Jupiter (DH) making up the top five.
