It has been great to follow along with the adventures of Craig and Donna on board their Nautitech 40 Open 'La Luna'. They have had some amazing travels since leaving France where they picked up the boat in 2022. See a brief travel recap below.
It’s true. It’s a heck of a lot easier and faster to fly than sail. But then, you miss a lot of exotic destinations and beautiful nature along the way. Since purchasing La Luna new in La Rochelle, Northern France, we have crossed the Bay of Biscay, been enchanted by rugged northern Spain and Portugal , explored the fascinating countries of the Mediterranean, discovered Morocco and the Canary Islands then crossed the Atlantic Ocean. We are now seduced by the sublime, laid back islands of the Caribbean. Learning along the way, in 2 1/2 years we have sailed 15,000 nautical miles and visited 20 countries. We have found the Nautitech 40 Open easy to handle, stable and quick; perfect in fact for a couple to sail alone or to welcome guests as you wish.
It’s soon time for us to head home to be with our family again so La Luna is now for sale with Ensign Yachts, Australia. For its new owners, this boat is reliably set up to explore independently - wherever your imagination takes you - in comfort, safety and style.
